(2)規則變化:從第四開始，在基數字尾加入th，如fourth(4th)。

直接加入th，如sixth(6th),eleventh(11th),seventeenth(17th).字尾是ve，將ve改成f，再加上th，如fifth(5th)以及twelfth(12th)。

字尾是t，直接加上h，如eighth(8th)。

字尾是e，把e去掉，再加上th，如ninth(9th)。

字尾是ty，去y，再加上ieth，如thirtieth(30th)以及twentieth(20th)。

兩位數的整數→十位數為基數，個位數為序數，中間必須加連字號（–）  如twenty-one改成twenty-first(21st)，forty-third(43)英文序數用法:(1)序數之前一定要加上定冠詞the，或是所有格。

    例1.Summeristhesecondseasonoftheyear.(夏天是一年中第二個季節)        2.CindyisPeggy’sfirstdaughter.(Cindy是Peggy的第一個女兒)      3.Hewonthefirstprizeinthegame.(他在比賽中贏得第一名)(2)序數用於樓層、日期、幾周年:「樓層」：Weliveonthetwentiethfloor.(我們住在二十樓)「日期」：MybirthdayisonMarch10(寫法可只用基數，但是唸時，一定要讀成序數。

)「幾週年」：Tomorrowismyfather’ssixtiethbirthday.(明天是我父親的60歲大壽)(3)放在基數前面：用於表示「前」幾位Thefirstthreepeopletobuytheticketscantakepictureswiththesinger.前三名買票的人可以和歌手一起合照。
