Wenoticethatthepixeldimensionsneverchange.Westartedwithanimageat3000x2000pixels(px)andendedwiththedimensionsstillbeing3000x2000px.Thisisimportanttoremember,becausewhenwechangeresolutionwearechangingonlyhowmanypixelswillbedisplayedperinchoftheimage,nothowmanypixelsmakeuptheimage.  Imagineyouandafriendeachhavingabucketfullof5000seedstoplantinafield.Youmustuseall5000ofyourseedsbyplantingthemin1inchsquaresinafield.Nowimaginethat youareallowedtoplantonly150ofyourseedsperinchandyourfriendisallowedtoplant300seedsper inch.Bothofyouhavethesamenumberofseeds,butitwilltakeyoutwiceasmuchsurfaceareainthefieldtoplantallofyourseeds. Whichonetochoose?The72ppiand150ppiimagesaretoolowofqualitytoproduceahigh-qualityprint,sothey'reout.The300ppiand600ppiimagesbothlookedverycrisp,butthe600ppiimagewaswaytoosmall.Forthisexample,the300ppiimagewouldworkbestbecauseofit'slargerprintsizeandhighquality.
