INTRODUCTION
AnalyticalAccountingdoesnotcompletelyintegratewithIntercompanyinMicrosoftDynamicsGP. TheGLbatchiscreated,byttheAAsetupmaynotbethesameinthedestinationcompanyasitisintheoriginatingcompany. Therefore,youwillneedtomakeAAdimensionassignmentsinboththeoriginatinganddestinationcompaniesseparately.
Afteryoupostabatchofintercompanytransactionsintheoriginatingcompany,theassignmentforAnalyticalAccountingdatawillbenotcarriedovertothedestinationcompany. YoumustaccesstheGLbatchinthedestinationcompanyandmanuallyaddtheAAdatatothetransaction.
TopostintercompanytransactionsthatcontainAnalyticalAccountingassignments,followthesesteps:
CreateanintercompanybatchthatcontainsassignmentsofAnalyticalAccountingtransactiondimensioncodesintheoriginatingcompany.
Postthebatchintheoriginatingcompany.
Inthedestinationcompany,clickontheTransactionsmenu,pointtoFinancial,andthenclickGeneral.
Openthebatchthatwascreatedinthedestinationcompany,anddrillintothetransactionsinthebatch.
ClicktoselectanaccountnumberintheDistributionswindow.
OntheExtrasmenu,pointtoAdditional,andthenclickAnalyticalTransactiontoopentheAnalyticalGeneralTransactionEntrywindow.
MaketheappropriateassignmentsforAnalyticalAccountingtransactiondimensioncodesforthedestinationcompany.
SavethebatchintheAnalyticalGeneralTransactionEntrywindow.
Postthebatchinthedestinationcompany.
NoteYoumustfollowthesestepsevenifAnalyticalAccountingtransactiondimensioncodesaresetupidenticallyforbothcompanies.
